MURPH – May 25, 2026
Each year, we come together as a community to take on Murph — a workout that’s about more than just fitness. Named in honor of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, Murph is a Memorial Day tradition that challenges us physically and reminds us to show up with gratitude, grit, and respect.
The workout is simple in structure, but demanding in effort:
1 Mile Run
100 Pull-Ups
200 Push-Ups
300 Air Squats
1 Mile Run
All done wearing a weighted vest (20/14 lb) if you choose. Whether it’s your first time or your tenth, this workout is about effort, integrity, and shared experience. We’ll tackle the workout together, scale as needed, and celebrate what it means to push through something bigger than ourselves.
In the weeks leading up to Murph, we’ll be working in extra running, push-ups, pull-ups, and air squats to help you build the strength, stamina, and pacing needed for the big day. Whether you’re aiming to complete the full workout or planning to scale, our Murph Prep programming is designed to get you moving with confidence and strategy. Show up, put in the work, and you’ll be ready when it’s time to line up for that first mile.
Stay tuned for event details and schedule — we can’t wait to take it on with you. Read more about CrossFit MURPH workout and history here.
